What does church mean to you? Absolute boredom? Extreme quiet? How about rambunctious unbridled enthusiasm? Caring giving people? Church dinners?

Maybe you think the church is utterly dull with the same old platitudes over and over again. With the same prayers, the same songs, the same sermons, the same ideas, the same phraseology. Boring. Maybe you think the church is only interested in your money or your status in the community.

Sadly, sometimes these stereotypes are true. However, this picture is not what Christ meant The Church to be. The Church is supposed to be the unpredictable Body of Christ, reaching out to others, whose focus is to be outside of itself. The Church, is to be a sanctuary where people come to find relief, love, a friendly face and a friend.

At The Sanctuary our mission is OTHERS.

To find the lost, To heal the broken, To feed the hungry,
Release the prisoners, Teach the nations,
To bring Christ to all, To make music in the hearts
